HOODLUMS CLASH: 2 Feared Dead In Lagos

Two people were said to have been killed in a fight in Ijora area of Lagos State, yesterday.

LEADERSHIP investigation revealed that the fight have been on between rival gangs in the area.

A man who identified himself as Soji said, “the people were just fighting foolish fight of supremacy. They have no job. They have killed two people. They injured so many people. They robbed and made life unbearable for residents. Many hoodlums have guns in this area. Politicians are one of the problems. They usually use money to cause problem”.

Continuing, he said: “In most cases, you don’t know what cause the problem or a very minor thing will be the cause”.

When LEADERSHIP visited the Ijora police station, teams of policemen from other divisions under Area ‘B’ Apapa command were present to safe guard the station.

A man, Kayode, said the policemen at the station are too few to handle the situation in Ijora. He said the station lacks manpower.

He said, “I cannot tell you what caused the fight because many people don’t even know. In Ijora, a serious fight can just happen over small cash or even girlfriend. I heard two of the people who were rushed to a hospital are dead.”
