MANCHESTER DERBY: City not ready for Man United clash - Pellegrini

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has conceded that the club is not in good health heading into the derby with Manchester United.

“We are in a bad moment,” said Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini, when reflecting on the club’s recent form as the Etihad Stadium side were powerless against a Newcastle United selection made up of a fringe selection of Magpies.

City has posted miserable form now for three games on the spin, as since its 4-1 annihilation of Tottenham Hotspur, City has drawn CSKA Moscow in Russia, lost to West Ham United in the Premier League and lost to Newcastle.

There is no time to dwell on its woeful run, though, as City is now thrust into one of its most hotly contested fixtures of the season – the local derby at home, to rivals Manchester United.

“We have a luck of trust in all the work we do,” continued Pellegrini, as quoted by talkSPORT.

“Last year we were the team that continued in four competitions, but this year having one competition less maybe we can concentrate on another one.”
