Rapper Eminem sues Facebook
Multi Grammy award-winning rapper, Eminem and his publishing company Eight Mile Style LLC have sued popular social networking site Facebook over the alleged unauthorized use of his intellectual work.
According to AllHipHop.com, Facebook and its advertising agency, Wieden + Kennedy, allegedly lifted the rapper’s music, ‘Under the Influence’, for an online ad to promote their new Facebook Home app without the rapper’s consent.
The complaint was filed on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 in a Detroit federal court where Eminem and Eight Mile Style LLC are said to be suing Facebook and the company that created the advert for $150,000 per infringement.
