Arsenal Ready To Secure Rooney on a 5-Year Deal
With the summer transfer window set to re-open, there is plenty of gossip going in the news as regards to transfers.
An interesting report from the Daily Mail today who are claiming that Arsenal are ready to smash their wage structure to try and lure unsettled Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney to the Emirates this summer.
It seems Arsenal may be ready to offer him a way out with the Mail claiming they are growing increasingly confident they can finance a record-breaking deal for the England ace and while Arsene Wenger privately acknowledges they won’t be able to match the £250,000-a-week Rooney currently earns at United, the club are hopeful they could secure the striker with the offer of a five-year deal worth £200,00-a-week and the promise of a sizable signing on fee.
To many fans, the idea of Rooney leaving the Premier League champions to join Arsenal seems more than a little far fetched. However, it may not be as ridiculous as it sounds. If Rooney really is feeling under-appreciated at United and determined to leave this summer, will he want to move abroad knowing He’s just had a second child.
