TECHNOLOGY: Pen that checks for spelling error invented

Image
A new tech for the Olodos....hehehehe Okay, so Where would some of us be without spell check? The sometimes annoying, but frankly indispensable computer aid has spared billions of typographical blushes..you doubt ? Now, an ingenious prototype pen developed by a German start-up is promising to give our longhand writing a similar sort of safety net. Lernstift (German for "learning pen" is a digital pen with a difference, carrying not only ink inside its casing but also a tiny computer that alerts users to spelling errors. Daniel Kaesmacher, co-founder of Lernstift said: "Basically there are two functions. The calligraphy mode which helps you correct individual letters, and the orthography mode which vibrates when a word is misspelled."

INVESTMENT: What the Bible Says About Money (Shocking)

Image
Most people know Sean Hyman from his regular appearances on Fox Business, CNBC, and Bloomberg Television, but what they don’t know is that Sean is a former pastor, and that his secret to investing is woven within the Bible. Perhaps that can explain why, despite his uncanny ability to predict precise moves in the stock market, Sean is often laughed at for his unique stance on investing. For example . . . a few months ago Sean appeared on Bloomberg Television. At that time, Best Buy (BBY) was dropping to all-time lows of $16 a share. Sean predicted the stock could go down to $11 a share, and would then quickly rebound to $25 per share, and after that would rally to $40 per share over the next year. Another commentator on the show actually mocked Sean for his stance, saying “$40 on Best Buy? If that’s the case Apple (AAPL) is going to $1,500. That’s the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!” (Editor’s Note: At the time, Apple was trading at $650 per share). Within a few weeks...

9JA POLITICS: Igbo presidency is possible under APC –Okorocha

Image
Imo State Governor,  Rochas Okorocha has stated  that the agitation for a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction could only  be realized on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC). Okorocha, who was speaking during the inauguration of the APC South-East Ward Mobilizers and Supporters Club at the Ahiajoku Convention Centre, Owerri in Imo State, at  the weekend, maintained that the Igbo were well accommodated in the new platform compared to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), which he accused of relegating the zone to the background. He said: “ I am highly elated that our people are responding to this clarion call that had to do with our collective destiny and aspiration. It is a clear fact that Ndigbo  have been relegated to sixth position in the political equation of our nation not minding the fact that we formed one of the tripods upon which the nation stands.” The governor said  a situation where the Igbo  is not  the presid...

LNG: Cooking gas price projected hit N7,000....

Image
As if the situation isnt bad enough already, now the price of GAS is going up the roof. The last cylinder I filled was at the rate of N5000 and was even thinking the price was ludicrous. Na GOD go help us for this country. Price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), otherwise known as cooking gas, remained astronomically high despite the resolution of the tax-induced row between the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) by a High Court in Lagos State. The protracted legal battle forced NIMASA to detain vessels of NLNG at the Bonny Terminal preventing them from lifting LPG until it settled unpaid levies and other charges that run into billions of naira. Investigations by Daily Sun in Lagos metropolis revealed that the 12.5kg gas cylinder, which hitherto sold for between N2,500 and N2,800 now goes for over N4,000 and may hit N7,000 soon if government fails to intervene. Gas dealers who spoke with Daily Sun...
